Haven't heard anyone mention Klipsch yet. It sounds like you're looking for a high end big $ speaker. Listen to a pair of K-horns! or any other larger old Klipsch models. They wont be cheap(or space friendly)but they are great! Think they have too much honk?(after all they are horns)just EQ the mid-highs a BIT.It is an amazing difference. Too bad they didn't come from the factory this way. They are very ballsy sounding. Very live but not harsh. You want to feel the music too, don't you?
