I wonder what her first husband, David McCallum, who was buddies Charles Bronson would have to say.
You can't talk about Joey Heatherton without mentioning Catherine O'Hara as Lola Heatherton.
It would be interesting to know how David McCallum felt about his ex-wife. Quite apart from the break-up of their marriage, there was the issue prior to their moving to Hollywood, that she had always grabbed the publicity although he was the actor working frequently with a strong career. When they were at London's main airport waiting for their plane, she was mobbed by photographers who ignored him although he was the reason they were flying out.
Another good one! She really is a good-looking woman.
She has some good qualities.
There's not nearly enough Jayne Mansfield in this thread . . .
. . . . which is puzzling as she is one of the quintessential blondes.
And there's, generally, enough of her to go around...
Too Hot to Handle - Jayne's best film.
Yes, I'll have to upload one of her "overflowing" photos in the next week or so!
Revisiting Veronica Lake and her peek-a-boo hair.
No peek-a-boo for the war effort. Veronica Lake in, So PROUDLY WE HAIL!-1943.
Remember the Veronica Lake peek-a-boo gag in THE MAJOR AND THE MINOR-1942 with Ray Milland and Ginger Rogers?
THE MAJOR AND THE MINOR would have seemed naughtier if petite Veronica had Ginger's part.
Lake and Milland in, I WANTED WINGS-1942:
Another view of Jayne Mansfield, this time in her more normal habitat:
Do you know what it says in the water behind her?
Looks like "I love ____________"
She looks a bit like Kate Upton in that shot.
I watched Champion (1949) last night which co-stars Marilyn Maxwell.
She's not talked of much these days but in the late '40s and early '50s, she was a major glamour girl. She died far too young of a heart attack when in her early 50s.
Good pics above, fellas! Here's another notable blonde beauty: Alexandra Bastedo, from ITC's The Champions.
Oh yeah! I remember Alexandra Bastedo from my youth! A good-looking woman.
Carol Lynley ,1942-2019 Model, actress . She played the girlfriend to the hero in many TV pilots. She was a mom, too, and even got in on the 70s and 80s poster craze.
With Pamela Tiffin and Ann -Margaret in "The Pleasure Seekers".
Those pictures of Carol Lynley remind me that I'd love to see a Blu-ray of The Pleasure Seekers, in which Carol Lynley, Ann-Margaret and Pamela Tiffin find romance in early 1960's Spain. Gorgeous women and gorgeous scenery in a remake of Three Coins in the Fountain.
I'll join in on the Carol Lynley tribute.
I'm a longtime Glen Campbell fan and she made quite an impression on me in his film Norwood:
