thats fine if thats the case, however, at first i was asking about the 51 inch ( which according to best buy website i found it doesnt list 720p for the 51.. however, for the 57 inch it says it does it natively.. dont mean to sound like a pest at all, just making sure there was no misunderstanding.. again.. hope im not being annoying.

I have a 65H83. The other H83 models works similarly, in fact my sets owners manual covers the 46H83, 51H83, 57H83 and 65H83.

The Toshiba H83 models do not display 720p natively, but they do upconvert it to 1080i. I have been able to feed 720P from my Xbox with no trouble.

o.k.. thats cool.. just curious how big an improvement it is with the upconverted signal (720p to 1080i) vs. playing in 480p.. thanks

The only HD game I've played is Dragon's Lair 3D - I rented it because it supported all XBox resolutions and I wanted to try them out - they all work, with 720p delivering a noticibly better picture than 480p, and 1080i the best of all.

I'll be trying Soul Calibur later, but I expect to stick with 480p on that one because SC is only 4x3 at 720p.
