Toshiba 27A44 vs. JVC AV27D305 (1 Viewer)

Hello. I've narrowed my coming purchase to these 2 sets. They are spec'd almost identically and both look great in the store (separate stores so I can't see them side by side). The main difference tech-wise is Toshiba has Vertcal Contour Correction and a Black picture tube. The JVC has something called Anacon technology. Consumer Reports prefers the Toshiba. My question is...has anybody used either of these sets? Better yet...has anybody used both? Good points? Bad points? Advice on which to buy? I can get them for the same price. Thanks in advance.

I'm not sure anybody here has either one. Just from my shakey recolection of those that post on here anyways.

I'm way weak on direct view crt products in general.
