In no particular order:

The Double Life of Veronique
The Exterminating Angel (does any region have this with a decent transfer and English subs?)
Mr. Show Season 4/Upright Citizen's Brigade Season 2 (I'd rather have Mr. Show, but I know it's being worked on; UCB is not)
Short Cuts
Breaking the Waves/The Idiots (uncut, uncensored)

-The Crowd (one of my all time favorite movies)
-Wings
-The African Queen
-Raise the Red Lantern

Those haven't been released on DVD at all yet...

And of course:

Blade Runner: SE (I've only seen parts of the movie, but loved what I saw, and have read the book by Philip K. Dick and loved it.) I'm just waiting for the ultimate edition, since I want to see it with all the extras and deleted scenes.

Some honorable mentions:

Batman: SE
Being There: SE (I'm sure it'll never happen, but it'd be great if it did)
Goodfellas: SE (I've never seen this one either, but I've heard so many great things)

There are many films I'm still dying to have on DVD, so I'll go to 10, though I'll still be leaving out a ton:

The Rapture
Scarecrows
Highway to Hell
Deadly Blessing
The Pack
The Reflecting Skin
Don't Be Afraid of the Dark
Testament
Phase IV
Nature of the Beast

Note that I also have many films in other regions that aren't available in Region 1.

I'll focus on five under-represented directors (or stars, in the case of Lloyd):
  • Frank Borzage: 7th Heaven, Street Angel, or Man's Castle
  • Sacha Guitry: The Story of a Cheat (Le Roman d'un tricheur) or The Pearls of the Crown (Les Perles de la couronne)
  • Harold Lloyd: Safety Last, The Freshman, or The Kid Brother
  • Kenji Mizoguchi: The Story of the Last Chrysanthemums (Zangiku monogatari), Sansho the Bailiff (Sansho Dayu), or Ugetsu
  • Satyajit Ray: Teen Kanya (Three Daughters/Two Daughters), Devi (The Goddess), or Charulata (The Lonely Wife)

My second five:
  • Kon Ichikawa: The Burmese Harp (Biruma no tatekoto), Fires on the Plain (Nobi), or An Actor's Revenge (Yukinojo henge)
  • Shohei Imamura: The Insect Woman (Nippon konchuki), or The Ballad of Narayama (Narayama bushiko)
  • Mitchell Leisen: Easy Living or Midnight
  • Victor Sjöström (Seastrom): Mästerman, He Who Gets Slapped, The Scarlet Letter, or The Wind
  • Edward Yang: Taipei Story (Qingmei Zhuma), A Brighter Summer Day (Guling jie shaonian sha ren shijian), or Mahjong

I'm only considering films that don't have an official release date yet and are not up for pre-order:

-Freaks (1932)- Restored, 90-Minute Version

-The Lon Chaney Collection Vol. 2 - The Unholy Three (Both versions), West of Zanzibar, The Road to Mandalay, and Mr. Wu

-The James Cagney Collection - The Public Enemy, Angels With Dirty Faces, White Heat, The Roaring Twenties, The Oklahoma Kid, and Taxi!

-The Peter Lorre Collection - Mad Love, The Mask of Dimitrios, The Beast With Five Fingers, Stranger on the Third Floor, and The Verdict

-The Film Noir Collection Vol. 2 - The Woman in the Window, The Lady in the Lake, Crossfire, Point Blank, and I Am A Fugitive From a Chain Gang.

All Warner! :D

Others to consider: Eyes Without a Face, Universal Monsters, and an SE of Night of the Hunter.
