Our home has 4 DirecTV receivers one of which is a TIVO receiver. I would like to utilize the TIVO in two rooms.

So far I have added a splitter to the line out from the TIVO and installed a coxial cable which runs down to the second location, our living room.

It's at this point where I need additional help. My DirecTV receiver in the living room can accomodate SAT,ANT and CABLE inputs. Also, I have a VCR and Remote Control Extender unit avaiable to use if needed.

Thanks in advance for your advise.

You can just hook the coax out from the Tivo straight into your TV, and switch to channel 3(or 4, depending on the Tivo setting) on the TV tuner.

Or, if your remote setup doesn't conveniently let you switch TV inputs, hook into either the cable/antenna input on your DirecTV receiver & switch to that input ch 3 using the DirecTV remote.
