I have Thiel CS 1.5 speakers and want to know if they would be good for HT front speakers, and what would be good speakers for rear, center and sub? The Thiels are 86 db and require plenty of power. OR, would I be better off starting HT from scratch. The Thiels are very accurate, but sound thin to me at times. Thanks for your help.

Since we're talking about a specific speakers model, I've moved your post here. The Basics area is only for general discussion at the beginner level, not for seeking information about specific component models. Thanks. JB

Thiel's website indicates that their products work great for home theater applications.

There are a couple of Thiel products, such as center channels and surrounds listed on their website as well.

They will work great for home theater, but you may need to buy more. There are few Thiel owners around here. I have heard a few Thiel setups and I think they sound amazing.
