Seeing the movie again for the first time in years, I was surprised by how much Roddy Piper really nails his performance in this movie. That's not to say that he should win an Oscar but he was the perfect choice for this role and movie.

Aw, I agree! Piper would have been pretty good in First Blood. Maybe his performance was a little bit inspired by Sly's in that film.

I showed my friend the cardboard slipcover, and he lost it. We agreed that the simple addition of the "buy" sticker was genius. Big thumbs up for this release. Picture and sound are great, and as always the commentary by Carpenter(and Piper) is incredible. The man is just a great commentator of his films.
