From the "It's about time!" department, Buena Vista has just announced a number of long-awaited new special editions for a fall debut. First up is not one but two new special editions of the Tim Allen megahit The Santa Clause due on 10/29, one in widescreen and the other in pan & scan. Each edition retails for $29.95 and includes the same extras: "The Making Of The Santa Clause" featurette, holiday recipes, the "Fly Santa's Sled" set-top game, and more ROM exclusives including a "Letter To Santa" service complete with automated replies. The widescreen edition includes a newly-remastered 2.35:1 anamorphic widescreen transfer, and both feature Dolby Digital 5.1 and 2.0 surround tracks, but not DTS.
well at least it will be available in the OAR.

Did I miss something, my previous version is 1.85:1, is this a screw up or what.

The aspect ratio is 1.85:1 and Disney's press site says nothing about dual releases (it only mentions widescreen) and nothing about a Making-of Featurette. There's another thread on this already with the specs straight from Disney.
