Hi all. Being the "bassheads" I know we all are, I'd love to hear your opinions on the DIY sub I've just finished.

Please check out these two links and tell me what you think.

For those infrequent visitors to the DIY forum, the Dayton DVC I used, is a clone of the Adire Audio Shiva driver, which has been compared favourably to the entry level SVS driver.

Cheers.

Looks great! You obviously did a ton of work to get the sides cut correctly to create the octagonal shape. The Dayton is supposed to be a fine driver and it sounds from your description like the effort was well worth it. Congratulations on a fine job!

Thanks, Bob and John.

Bob, your Tempest looks pretty fancy as well. Is the 15'' driver a big step up from the 12''?

John, I chose an octagon...well cos basically im a miser
;) I already had some MDF cut in 190mm widths. So the only way to make those pieces work with the 12'' diameter driver, was to use an octagon:D
