I like this show, thought it had been cancelled. I caught the 8:30 episode (HAD to watch The Sopranos). I thought it was hilarious when the receptionist was walking through the office and Darcy could be seen in the background, making big boob gestures (best way to describe it).
Sully's video for youtube cracked me up. That Stride girl had unusually bright white teeth, scarily so. Doing shots off Meryl's butt. Good night of The Loop.
I guess "Stride" was the last episode. I liked this wacky show and am sorry it didn't make it.
It seems there is no room left for sitcoms. It looks like the major networks only give one night to sitcoms anymore. I remember when the Sitcom was the normal show on during prime time. Now there are very few. sigh.
I guess we really need more crime shows, reality shows and game shows! :frowning:
Philip Baker Hall was a total riot. They wrote funny stuff for him, and he constantly knocked it out of the park. For me, it was the only reason to watch. The rest of the show was just meh for me. I found the lead annoying, the brother useless, and they kept resorting to dumb or unbelievable things to keep the plot moving. It was trying to be wacky, but it seemed more like a mess to me.
Somebody hire Saba Homayoon (Jane) for a weekly series. She is hot AND cute. She was actually in the first episode of How I Met Your Mother (Barney asked her "Have you Met Ted?"). Maybe she will could play "mother."

There are actually more episodes that I thought.
The "Stride" episode has me a little mixed. On the one hand it is making fun of the eproduct placement practice, but they sure did get a lot of advertisement in for Stide. I think this would have been funnier if the product was not a real thing. Now I have to wonder if they really did get some money from Stride for this episode?
Hate to see this show go. What is the point of a 7-episode first season, then a 14-month gap? Is that some new audience-building strategy?
When the show didn't come back last fall or winter, I thought it was gone forever... why bring back new episodes, yet announce that it was already cancelled? Huh? How much of the audience is lost when they hear the show has been cancelled?
I love Hall's inappropriate comments followed by innocent explanations, like when he called the guy a camel jockey, then explained that he used to DJ at tobacco industry parties.
I just assumed Stride was a fictional brand, but I see it's not. (I thought the name might be a takeoff on Trident.) Pretty funny for an episode about excessive product placement.
Yeah I thought Stride sounded familiar but didn't realize it was a real brand. Loved the brother's attempt at a PS3. Great delivery, especially the backlash.
