That list is likely to change fast.
If "Spiderman" did $170 million in it's first three days
of sale (that's about 8.5 million DVDs at $20/ea) then it
is probably past many of those on the list I guess.

Let's just say I have everything in the NEW top ten! :D
No doubt that Spidey and AotC have pushed Hannibal and Remember the Titans off the bottom of that list...

Yes....no doubt. :)
And.....
How on Earth did The Fast and the Furious soar to #8?? Holy cow! (Was it THAT good? Or just a sensational marketing campaign?)

Oddly, I actually only have 4 of these titles... Guess my tastes are a lot less mainstream than I thought.

One question, with PEARL HARBOR- do they count just one version, or lump both releases into the total numbers? Same question with Crouching Tiger (does the sales figure include Superbit and the regular version) and JP3 (didn't this get a dual wide/ff release?)

I'm just curious how sales would break down by version-- I assume this list considers ever release of a particular film in the total.

I have eight of the.

Most surprising:
Planet of the Apes
Jurassic Park III
Fast and the Furious (if only because it's somewhere on cable 24/7)

I have 9, which is more than I would have guessed, having just glanced at the list. At least 3 of the 9 we have are more for my sons than me.

That's quite a spread: >9 million at the top, >2.5 million for 25th. almost a four-fold difference. The midpoint's about 4 million now; I'd guess that becomes the top 25 cutoff within a year or so, now that DVD is mainstream.

I'm 0 for 25 - even if you were to adjust it to include ATOC and Spiderman.
That looks like a pretty sad list to me. I have no desire to own any of those DVDs.

Well, prior to releasing the DC, BVHV sold it packaged with a free movie, which probably accounts for why Remember the Titans is also on the list.
"Of all time" is a sort of spurious way to describe this list. Obviously a new release DVD in 2002 will sell more copies than one in 1997. This time next year, probably 15 of those titles will be different.
