What's new

Thanks to those that helped me last night. I went from a kenwood vr-209 to a vr-507 (1 Viewer)

wow, I love this thing! Much better then my old vr-209, not that, that one was bad in its day.
Question, for those that own this, which LISTENING mode do you think is best?

For DVD straight Dolby Digital, or dts, do the DSP modes even work while in DD or dts?

For CD's I like "source direct" and do not use or have DSP's as I have the 407.

Enjoy Todd, I still have my 209 for the stereo upstairs that the wife listens to with some older infinitys speakers and my first DIY 12" sub. I tried to move it into the bedroom but she wasn't having it.

Hate to rain on the parade, but Circuit city has the VR509 for $299 (at least in Chicago) They are trying to dump it and discontinue them from their stores.....They were throwing in 2 speakers for free also.

Glad to help. Based on my experience with the VR-507 I recommended it to you in your original thread and I'm sure you're gonna love it!
Enjoy your new toy! :emoji_thumbsup:

Locally @ all the detroit stores... they have both 507's and 509's for $299.00... I am leaning twards the 509 myself... I was/still am looking @ the 510, but am not convinced that it's worth the extra $$$$$$$$$$$$$ over the 509/507...

Maybe you might want to exchange it for a 509 for the same price... good machine either way so don't worry about keeping the 507...
