The folks at Lasers Edge have announced tentative release dates
for current box-office titles.

These titles are not yet available for preorder
until officially announced.

I am not sure whether all these dates have been
mentioned before. If not, let me be the first to
post them here.

Troy ** 10/19
Stepford Wives 10/26
Shrek 2** 11/5
Dodgeball* 11/9
Terminal, The 11/22
Spider-Man 2** 11/29
Manchurian Candidate 12/7
I, Robot* 12/7
Chronicles Of Riddick* 12/14
Collateral* 12/14

Thanks, Ron. Although far from being a perfect film, The Terminal didn't get the respect I felt it deserved during its theatrical release. Here's hoping that people give it a second chance on DVD.

Thanks Ron, looking forward to the following;

Troy 10/19
Shrek 2 11/5
Dodgeball 11/9
Spider-Man 2 11/29
I, Robot 12/7
Chronicles Of Riddick 12/14

Wonder why such a late release for Riddick?

Jeff,

Nov 5th is correct for Shrek 2. Also if you remember the 1st Shrek DVD also came out on a Friday. November 2nd, 2001 is when the 1st Shrek was released. And that day was a Friday also.

Thanks for the dates Ron. :emoji_thumbsup: :emoji_thumbsup:

Nov 5 is correct for Shrek 2, the day The Incredibles gets a theatrical release...

I'm still hearing Spider-Man 2 is set for a Friday release too on Nov 19...

Riddick is rumored to be 3 days earlier on Nov 16...

but Dodgeball is looking like it could be as late as Dec 14!

I could easily see myself picking up all of the mentioned titles... Well except for Stepford Wives, it just does not appeal to me at all.

No kidding about Collateral!

Awesome movie.

And half the ones mentioned here I skipped to play in my HT Room when it hits disc. Looks like the holidays are shaping up for me!

I hope Collateral makes it to DVD before the end of the year as well. Also, I read over at The Digital Bits that the long-awaited Heat: SE will be released the same time as Collateral so that would be an AWESOME double feature. As for those other dates, I had heard Troy was coming on 10/12 and Spider-Man 2 on 11/30(as the 29th is a Monday).

I've always wondered why more titles like Shrek don't break with tradition and change a street date to a Friday. I mean, it is usually payday for half of the population, the start of the weekend, seems to be a good time to release a big-ticket title.

On the other side, I can see what THAT Tuesday may be pretty light. HOPEFULLY, people will be heading to the polls instead of Best Buy that day.

Remember that on the Friday Shrek 1 DVD came out, that was the weekend Monster's Inc. came out in theaters.

And the weekend Shrek 2 comes out on DVD is the same weekend The Incredibles comes out.

Ps. I took out the $ thing since I can't get the info to back this up, I remember seeing it on local TV (SD CA).
