Hey all, we're all going to have to be thinking of taxes soon, and I have a quick question. We had a baby in April, and I was wondering what tax situation will be like this year. Any tips?

Here's a little background. We will have owned our home for 2 years in April, and we make a little over $100k combined.

Any good sneaky ways to get a bigger refund?

Jason- I don't know about any "sneaky" ways to get a bigger refund...but you will probably get a bigger refund anyway. You're obviously entitled to another deduction, plus I think there's a $500 tax credit for each minor child (but I don't have any kids, so don't quote me on that). Plus, I think the tax rates may be slightly lower this year than last. So overall you may be pleased at the size of your refund....even without "sneaky" tricks.

Good luck!
