When I first saw this stuff I saw a page where they had written a letter stating that they had voluntarily signed a contract with their producer giving him what sounded like complete control over their lives.

That letter can be seen on the Universal Russia website (which does happened to have an English translation):

YAY! I finally received my copy of the Russian album today! Some songs are better in russian (Musicwise, not just the fact that they sing in their 1st language) amd some are better in English.
