I am new to this forum and have a question regarding some set-up issues I am having with my subwoofer. I am new to home theater and am rather confused...
A month or so ago I purchased a Yamaha HTR-5860 receiver and Klipsch Synergy Quintet speakers. I set the system up and added an inexpensive subwoofer that I had from an Aiwa shelf unit. Everything was working fine, until I upgraded my subwoofer situation. Less than a week ago I replaced the Aiwa sub with a Klipsch KSW-10. Now when I run the set-up or do Yamaha's auto setup using YPAO there is barley any sound coming out of the subwoofer during the setup tests. It seems to work fine during movie playback, but with music it doesn't do much at all. Also, if I throw in a DVD that has the THX tests, the sub does the same thing, no sound. Please help.
