I read somewhere that an LFE subwoofer can sound better by connecting it to the reciever with a Y adaptor that connects to both the L & R connections on the subwoofer. Is this true?
This is contrary to what is recommended by the manufacturer(it states to use the L or R). Just wondering if I was missing out on something!

Subwoofer channels are mono on every receiver I know of. So it should'nt make any difference. This is supported by the manufactures statement saying use either one. Same story on the subwoofer side even though most have a L/R input the inputs are connected together to the mono amp so use either one or both but it wont make any difference.
