I bought the Onkyo HTS-760. For the price, I am very happy with it. I am going to add bass shakers when my new furniture arrives. That should be fun. I was thinking about upgrading my sub as well, but I am not sure it there is a point to that. I am not sure of the exact value, but I think my receiver and sub go down to 30Hz. Is there a point of me buying a sub that goes farther down than my receiver?
Thanks

That will take you to all the specs, but the important ones for this are:
Frequency Response 20 Hz-100 kHz (+ 1 dB, - 3 dB)

Frequency Response

Front/Center/Surround/ Subwoofer /Surround Back 55 Hz-35 kHz/65 Hz-35 kHz/65 Hz-35 kHz/ 30 Hz-150 Hz /65 Hz -35 kHz

I guess I could get a sub that responds down to 20Hz.

The rest of my specs are here: onkyousa.com/model.cfm?m=HT-S760&p=s&class=Systems
