hello all - im buying a house that comes with 5 bose satellitle/double split cube speakers and am trying to find a reasonably priced sub to match with them as the acoustimass bass module and receiver do not have HDMI. The room is 22x24 and id like thr bass to just sound full - i dont need rock concert levels as most of my tv watching is sports and not movies. Also, what would be thr best placement of a sub?

Bose cubes are designed to be used ONLY with the bass module. The module has all sorts of special circuitry to make the cubes sound almost like speakers. It's impossible to produce anything acceptable without the matching module, and not much better with it. You're FAR better off just replacing them all with something decent. There are many options.

BTW, that unit in the Bose set is not a sub. It's a bass module, which is an entirely different thing. They seem like they're the same thing, but they aren't.
