What would make any of you put off going to the ER with chest pains? Is anyone here that into sports on TV?

Not for a BASEBALL game... Hockey, maybe football, basketball, pro and college...lacrosse, soccer....

I know of a case where patient died of aortic aneurysm ruputre after putting off ER visit to watch Cubs blow game 6 of NLDS a few years ago.

The year after I moved into an apartment on my own, I got quite ill with the flu, which turned into pneumonia. My mother said she knew I was really sick when I had her take me to the ER just before the start of the Michigan - Ohio State football game.

How much of these ER visits are induced by the games? Not sure the post-game influx is due to a wait, so much as to the increase in stress during the game. The study needs to account for that factor.
