Okay UPDATE - we had gotten an e-mail the Thursday before Halloween that hopefully they would have something for us this week. But with Veteran's Day near the end of this past week maybe they had off Thursday and Friday. I would bet this upcoming week should be the ticket because the week after is Thanksgiving week and people pack it in early that Wed! The minute we get news I will jump on here!

I probably have some 40 serials on DVD/Blu-ray. I believe I've picked up all the serials on blu-ray from quality sources (e.g., Kino, Olive, VCI) as well as some from lesser sources. I'm game for any new serials to blu-ray. Especially, Republic serials. You can count me in to buy when first released to show my support.

Please do Bob a solid and contiue the discussion with your hopes and memories of the various serials of Falsh Gordon, photos ect...anything to keep the focus onto the Blu ray project...the more interest the better. I know you don't do FB but if possible please dropa review to the FB page to help raiise awarness of the project if you get a chance? it does help!! VCI had some "big news" for the third one but that was before COVID but is still on their home page. I think Wade Williams might have all three as well. Id get them all if they did get Blu-ray releases!

We have been falling in love with VCI's restorations via their 2K restorations of Universal Serials like Gangbusters, Pirate Treasure, Wild West Days, Gordon Of Ghost City and more!

I would love to see the Flash Gordon Serials lovingly updated like the way Classicflix restored The Little Rascals recently. I would really buy these but would hope that some level of restoration was done from a new transfer.

Ageed, Classic Filx has does an amazing job on the Little Rascels, the Abbott & Costello Show and one of my favorite films of Orson Welles Black Magic, coming in 2022.
These smaller more dedicated studios are "schooling" some other outfits as to the right way to deliver the goods!!!

Flash Gordon is my earliest memory of cinema, maybe around 1955, what we used to call Saturday Morning Pictures. Saturday mornings, a cartoon, short (maybe Laurel & Hardy), a serial & a feature (did you have something like that in America?). The serial was the thing, quite magical for me, & that's my first cinema memory, the first episode of Flash Gordon. I have a number of them on DVD, Flash Gordon, King Of The Rocket Men, Phantom Empire, Zoro's Fighting Legion, Undersea Kingdom & a few more. Of course when you see a few episodes one after the other, you can see what cheats the cliffhanging endings were.

that's one of the joys of the Cliff hangers, is by next week you'd forgotten just how precaious the situation was and were thrilled to see the hero suvive to fight another day!! By powering throught the episodes, the smoke and mirroes are droppped and you can see some of the moles and wrinckles, LOL!!!
