If you want the cleanest possible cut when cutting through MDF or Baltic Birch 13 plywood,
Is the only difference between the two bits is good face up/down when cutting?
Or is one better than the other?
I will be cutting circles for sonotube end caps.
Thanks

Thats about it. My next bit purchase will be carbide downcut bits as I mostly cut on the face side when I am recessing the drivers and tweeters. Upcuts leave a little fuzz.

The upcut bits are great for clearing MDF dust out of the groove as you cut. So that's what I use. But the downcut bits are great if you're going with Mark's application on a pre-veneered panel.
