i want to rewire my speakers to my reciever, they are small sony satelite speakers, what gauge wire should i use?

I would say anything 14 or 16 gauge will work fine w/ small satellites - but if you start spending a bunch for wire, you might want to use that money towards better speakers as that might be a better use of your money.

cant afford better speakers for now, just want to replace the wire that came with the speakers.

If all your runs are less than 50', then 14ga. will handle it, and if you have spring clip attachments, 12ga. may be too large anyway.
