does ISF void a warranty?

Can someone enlighten me as to how you void your warranty by messing around in the service menu or opening the tv up? I've seen several posts about people worrying about voiding their warranty. Yes, it says you aren't allowed to do this, but how in the world can they tell anyway? If you glue back your focus pots, everything looks good as new.

Chris is right on that point. why create a possible head ache?

On another note, when I first got into HD TV 3 years ago I had a service issue with my Toshiba set and had to complain to the customer service manager at the Toshiba head office. When speaking with her she RECOMMENDED that I have my set ISF calibrated. That is when I started to learn about what ISF was all about (its strengths and weaknesses).

I believe Michael is charging $750 CDN for a full meal deal calibration with 2 inputs (DVD and HD done). But I might be wrong on that. It is the CDN exchange rate that kills us (Im originally from Regina). I charge $550 plus $50 for travel in USD for the same work in the USA.

YES! I am very interested in having my monitor calibrated by Gregg!

I'm in downtown Toronto and have always wanted my Panasonic plasma ISF calibrated. However, I've been unsure of the quality of the techs in this area. Gregg comes so highly recommended it seems like a no-brainer.

Greg, do you have experience calibrating plasmas? I understand that RPTVs may benefit more from calibration, but
I'm really trying to get the very best out of my picture and I'm wondering if plasmas respond well to ISF too.

Michael and I have both calibrated Panny Plasmas. One of the ones I did had a NASTY green hue(in the blacks) to it on 480P. My client was VERY HAPPY and stated it was money well spent.

Here is pricing (in Canadian funds).
$50 per person towards travel expenses (payable at time of booking)
CRT Tube sets $275
Plasma and front projector LCDs and DLPs $400
RPTVs $600 (setup and DVD gray scale)add $150 for adding HD gray scale.
To book your calibration WITH EITHER OF US, go to www.lionav.com and use the book a calibration form, then use the paypal link to send the $50 travel fee. The site will not do currency conversion, so at the time of the calibration we will subtract the amount over $50 CDN from the fee.
