Well I finally get to use the player in progressive mode.I buy the Samsung txn-3245 and use the component connections for the first time.I notice that the picture sometimes has a green tint to it.After tinkering with the tv and player figured out it is the component connection on the player.If I move the cable just a little it changes color.I've had the player about 2 years never used the component only s-video.

Now I know its going to cost me $40 just to get it looked at.So what would you do?Go buy a new player or get it fixed?I'm willing to spend $300 to $400 for a new player.

First thing I'd do is try a different component video cable.

I've already tried two different sets of cables.Plus my brother had his Xbox connected via component for a good 3 hours no sign of the color changing.
