Sony Blu-ray player BDP-S300 (1 Viewer)

I've owned the Sony Blu-ray player BDP-S300 for a couple of years and am fairly happy with it. One problem that I've always had with this unit however is, whenever I stop the player and turn it off, the machine always reverts to the beginning of the movie when I turn it back on again. Interestingly, this problem only occurs with a blu-ray disc and NOT a standard DVD. Any suggestions?

It's the blu ray discs. Nothing you can do about it except use the Bookmark feature.

Some blu rays will let you restart from last time used, but not many at all. I noticed the Alice in Wonderland movie would do it, but that's the only one I can think of, right off hand.
