Software Posting Guideline Clarification Please (1 Viewer)

I recently saw the following in bold below the description for the Home Theater Software section:
"The adding of a simple link in a thread, to another web site, without any substantial additional material, is something we frown upon here."
Can I get an example of such an occurence? Are people linking to HUGE pictures again?
I just want to make sure that I'm not doing it. I do sometimes post links.
