I'm contemplating a move and I would like to have my living back to being a living room. I currently run a 7.1 system with a 53 inch tv. It looks like I may have an extra room now. The dimension are 10 x 11. Is that going to be way to small for that type of set up?

Too small? No. Overkill? Yes.

Your only problem is going to be placing all that. By the time you factor doors and windows in, you probably won't have an ideal place for everything. If you can find a good place for everything, you will have one big system for the room. But you can never be too big.
