i am thinking of buying a CRT tv.
i have a 15x10 foot room .
i am looking at the KV30XBR910($1699) or the KV34XBR910($2399).

Both comes with free stand . i know it has a 2 year warranty but is it worth to get the $199 4 year extended warranty in home warranty ?

BTW the sitting couch /sofa will be 7 to 8 feet away .

Sony shows the 34" model weighing in at over 300 pounds....that might be a factor in deciding whether in home service is worth the cost.

i have read the 34 at around close to 200 lbs and the 30 inch at around 150 lbs.

other sony tv has 90 day warranty or 1 year warranty . the XBR has more warranty than these tv sets.

im thinking if it survives a year or two - it might be ok . but i dont know if sony warranty is in home.
