I have the US version that is Full Frame and very poor quality.

Can anyone tell me the quality of the UK version?
I am fairly certain it was shot at least at 1:66/1 and really should look better than the awful NTSC version. Another thing is I am fairly sure the US version is a NTSC from PAL conversion since motion has artifacts that you normally get during that conversion. I would think the UK version would be film to PAL only.

This excellent series deserves better.

I originally had the r1 version of Sharpe's Enemy. The video quality was so awful I didn't buy any more.

The r2 discs OTOH are generally very nice, and Enemy at least looks a heck of a lot better than the r1 version. They are all presented in (non-anamorphic) ~14:9 PAL (even the later ones which I believe were presented 16:9 on digital tv here). With any luck we'll get some SEs with decent extras at some point down the line...
