SACDs and subwoofers (1 Viewer)

Newbie here,

I have a small room in my home that I've decided to devote to the new Sony 400 DVD/SACD/DVDA player. It'll strictly be used for music. I'm looking for a small subwooofer that won't overwhelm my room for under $200. Any suggestions?

The Dayton 10" might do the trick.

If you can swing $299...the Hsu STF-1.

By the way, I do not think the Sony 400 changer plays DVD-A.

Curtis is right about this. Sony backs SACD and will likely never build a player that supports DVD-A. If you want more info on the topic do a quick search through the forums.

As for the sub, I agree that the Dayton is probably your best bet in that price range.
