Roots on Hallmark Channel vs. Roots on DVD (1 Viewer)

I'm not trying to compare tv to dvd, but I just wanted to know if the Hallmark channel's broadcast of Roots this week is a representation of the dvd?

Like when Ten Commandments was restored for the 40th anniversary It was first shown on ABC, then released on dvd. The broadcast convinced me to buy the dvd.

I believe that the Hallmark broadcast is the remastered version.
