Is there a way to add custom icons to files through WinXP?

I have this ICON program Microangelo and I used to use a Resource Hacker (a freeware utility) to change CD icons, but the ResEdit program only works in Win2000.

Can I use these .ico files (that I create with Microangelo) to replace icons using WinXP?

Basically, to sum up my need, I have a client that wants to put PowerPoint presentations on a CD...he wants to change the icons of each presentation to a custom icon.

How do I do this?
