I found out today that my drywall guy cut my subwoofer cable with his roto-zip and I need to put a new rca connector on the end of it. All the do-it-yourself cable systems seem to be for using coax. My cable was a radioshack gold series. Do any of you know of a cripper/connector for that type of wire?

Thanks. If I need to solder a connector on, are there different grades of connectors? The one that was on there was gold plated. The replacement plugs from radio shack look pretty cheap by comparison. Will it make any difference?
