Even though it happened long before there was wall-to-wall sports coverage, I can still recall the final play of the Cal/Stanford game like it was yesterday.

When that play happened 20 years ago, I was only a month and a half old. I see clips of it everyonce in a while and all I can do is laugh.

The ending to that game is an absolute classic. Looking back, I don't know what's funnier, the trombone player getting smashed, the actual play itself, or the announcer's call where he goes nuts and loses his voice.

It was also one the few 4th quarter combacks where John Elway came up on the short end of the stick. Incredible.
