Recommendation on RPTV $3500~4000 (1 Viewer)

My brother is looking for a widescreen RPTV and is looking to spend between $3500~4000. Can someone please give me a short list to work with? Thank you.

Help me out please. This is a MAJOR purchase for my brother. I personally own a 42" Panny plasma. He cannot afford this. Besides, he wants something bigger.

samsung makes a 50 lcd that is in a case that can go on top of a table...it looks pretty sweet

I'm not too sure about LCD display. Looking for great widescreen RPTV.

Tom: have your brother check out the new Toshiba 57HX81 and Mitsubitshi 55908 models. They both have much improved optics, their images on DVD and HDTV are stunning, and the both use a non-glare screen that will not need to be removed. Also, both companies make lower priced sets, such as the Toshiba 57H81(no X in model number)which look very nice too.
