Oh dear, someone remembers this one! It used to be one of my favorite films when I was a kid.

I'll throw out another one from the land of cheese:

The Return Of Captain Invincible.

It is a superhero movie.

It is a musical.

It is both!

Nobody's mentioned Judge Dredd with Sylvester Stallone. It's from a comic book isn't it?

Well Felix, the reason I like the 60's Batman is because it's just funny. Oh man, all that cheese. :D
Besides, if you could pretend to like Batman and Robin (aka: Batman 4), you could do the same thing with Batman: The Movie. Give it a try. :)

Ah, if only the immortal INFRA-MAN (1976-Hong Kong, Shaw Bros.) were currently available on DVD, in 2.35:1 anamorphic widescreen (Panavision) and discreet 5.1 "Stereo Infra-Sound"...
I would love to see Inframan released on DVD too!

My VHS copy is getting pretty worn out.

Other movies I'd call superheroes:

Ghostbusters

Ghostbusters II

The Mask (with Jim Carrey)

They are comic-bookish, and involve people with powers assuming costumed identities to fight for justice in contemporary urban settings.

The best 5 superhero movies in my opinion are:

5. Spider-man: The Chinese Web(70's movie not on dvd)

4. X-men

3. Batman Returns

2. Batman

1. Superman: The Movie

Also, just as a after thought...no one mentioned:

Remo Williams: The Adventure Begins

Leonard Part 6

Meteor Man

Condorman

I know these are not on dvd but they still had to do with superheroes of a sort..LOL

And he's played by Vincent D'Onofrio. It's hard to believe he played chubby Pvt. Pyle the same year he played Dawson. I was totally shocked when I later found out that was him.

"The Adventures of Buckaroo Banzai Across the 8th Dimension"

I see this wasn't mention and although it wasn't a great movie it had some funny moments and I loved the campy dialog.

I would recommend superman, superman 2, batman, batman returns, hulk, spidey, x-men, darkman, TMNT 1, and I did enjoy the 2004 punisher movie. I was not expecting much from it.
