Receiver not shielded? (1 Viewer)

Are receivers supposed to be shielded? Or are receivers supposed to emit a magnetic field?
I noticed that my screen has a developed a pink area a couple days after I got it. It didn't seem to be the speakers, so when I moved the receiver away the pink spot was less pronounced. So I guess it's time for me to move all my components around?

Receivers - and most power-amps - have big transformers inside them. Sometimes - in the case of a couple of Crown amps at work, they've got a bloody huge transformer sticking out the back.

It is not unlikely that the pink spot you're seeing is due to your receiver.
