Hi all,

The builder attached insulation to the portions of the foundation walls that are above ground. The insulation is yellow and the backing is reflective like aluminum foil. It is attached to the walls with hilti's. I have to remove this insulation to drylok the upper parts of the walls but should I put it back up? I plan on framing the walls a few inches from the foundation anyway but I am concerned about this insulation impeding air circulation behind the finished walls.

Thanks in advance for the help.

Good question, wish I knew the answer. I'd guess that I'd want to remove this insulation for good, but it's just a guess. There's a building forum (non A/V) here: http://forum.doityourself.com/index.php
They have an insulation section, basement section, walls section, etc. I'd suggest posting this question there, I've received great advice there in the past.
