Quicken - How to add a SUB-category? (1 Viewer)

I looked through the manual and on-line couldn't figure out how to add a new sub-category for expenses. Specifically, under "auto", I want to add the subcategory of "EZ-Pass". Yet, when I go to "add a category", I can't seem to figure out how to add a sub-category (vs. a whole new category).

Allan, you need to ask that sort of question here in the Computers section.

Just start typing it in this way:

Auto:EZ-Pass

When you press it should ask if you want to create a new category.

I've used a couple different versions of Quicken and this has always worked. I am stuck, however, in Quicken 2000 so I hope it's still valid.

There is an option in the new category dialog to create a subcategory of an existing entry.
