Question about Toshiba 2705 DVD Player (1 Viewer)

Hello to all. I just got this player for my B-Day and was wondering about some things. I had a 2109 player before this one. Besides it being a 5 disc and it playing CD-R's and CD-RW's is it any different? Also I wanted to know how or if it can show me how much time there is left in a movie. I can only get it to show me the time gone by. I paid $199.99 for it at Best Buy because I had $200.00 worth of gift cards. Is this a good player at a fair price or should I get the Sony one for $50.00 more.
