Prograssive Scan DvD question (1 Viewer)

and I have this TV http://www.toshiba.com/tacp/tv/43H70.html
...My question...I hooked the DvD player up and went to Prograssive scan mode but I couldn't tell ANY difference in the picture?? Maybe I hooked it up wrong?

For me, at any rate, the DVD link did not work so I don't know what DVD player you have.
One general comment. If the Toshiba 43H70 was bought fairly recently and DNR is set to "on" then its internal line doubler will (I think) do inverse telecine. In this case, differences in deinterlacing quality between the Toshiba and the DVD player will pop up only occasionally.
One place to look: the scene in Saving Private Ryan where the car pulls up to the farmhouse to report the death of the Ryan boys; the front grill of the car will probably flicker badly when the Toshiba does the deinterlacing but will stay more or less solid when your player does the deinterlacing (assuming the player does it properly).
