Pretty Poison, the cult classic starring Anthony Perkins and Tuesday Weld, is getting an R2 DVD release in September. Could this be a sign that a(n) R1 release is going to happen?
Tuesday is also a amazing actress. "Poison" is considered one of, if not the best, vehicles of her career, but I'm also anxious to see her remarkable work in "Soldier in the Rain" out on DVD . . .
Anthony Perkins is also at his best in "Poison." It would be great to get a Tuesday commentary track wherein she talks about her onscreen teamings with Perkins, as well as her thoughts regarding her intriguing career choices (turning down some great and/or successful movies to shine in a lot of lower-profile films).
I've noticed that Amazon UK and Movie Mail are both listing a running time of 85 minutes. I recorded it off Cinemax recently, and timed it at a shade under 90 minutes.
Also, Movie Mail listing it as 2:35 Anamorphic. It looks to me like it was shot at 1:85.
The 85 minute vs 89 minute run time probably has to do with the PAL speedup. I don't recall there being anything that the BBC might find objectionable.
