I'm working on putting together a subwoofer in the home theater. Right now I have a Samsung 5.1 Home Theater System with 1000 Watt Samsung Blueray reviewer and Thunder TC512 double coil 300 watt RMS - 900-watt peak each passive subwoofer that I would like to use.

I can replace Samsung sub with Thunder TC512 Sub but it's not providing enough power to the sub. I was wondering if I can use Power amp like this to power up my sub and connect the amp to Samsung reviewer?

Previously the Thunder TC512 was wired passively with 2 OHM but I have changed it to Series so it can be 8 OHM sub.

I'm very new to this so any suggestion or recommendation will be helpful also someone told me I would need a preamp/Bridged to control the bass, not sure how that's going to work.
