From what I've heard, they think that there is no money to be made by the additional cost in remastering from shoddy masters. Who knows what shape those masters are in that FOX owns. Now, the Chinese counterparts by Legends are a different story. Apparently, they were different masters and sourced better. At least, that's what I've heard. Jeff Kleist is real top notch on Asian cinema, so maybe he'll chime in.
