It's official! Shout Factory has come through once again! Cover art isn't the greatest shot of Angie, but at least we're getting it at last.

They are making strides to go back to previously stalled releases. I wouldn't expect too many at a given time, but it brings new hope to favorites we thought were dead in the water. For me, I would like to see Room 222 to get a reboot.

Now that Police Woman is going to be fully out come May of this year, do you think that Shout! will do an all-in-one similar to their Hart to Hart one (with the first season's worth being redone to match the other three [the other three being in keepcases])?

Where does that leave other unreleased series from Shout? Police Story, The Defenders, Different Strokes, The Rookies, etc. Any others?

The seventh and penultimate season Diff'rent Strokes* is coming at the end of this month.

Well, there's always the one long-running MTM show they haven't done anything with: St. Elsewhere.

Now that Denzel Washington has another Oscar nomination and most of the biggest titles in the MTM library are available (after some painful delays), it's way past time to re-evaluate it. That Fox-Disney deal honestly makes me wonder whether we'll see more or less of what we already see from them, considering Disney's relationship with its own library. Taking on another studio's catalogue will just mean more titles competing for the same amount of space. Let's get real: how long will they both be operating under the same corporate family?

*Different Strokes, without the apostrophe, is a softcore lesbian porn film Dana Plato did because she needed the money. The TV show's addition of an apostrophe is an age-old songwriter's tool, which is why that song from The Sound of Music is called "Climb Ev'ry Mountain".

Today's the day when the fourth and final season of Police Woman finally gets released on Region 1 DVD.
I'll be receiving my copies of the third and fourth seasons of Police Woman directly from Amazon in the coming days.
I'm planning to review the third and fourth season DVD sets of Police Woman on Amazon next month.
Seasons 3 and 4 are the only seasons of Police Woman that I still don't have in my DVD collection.

Thanks to Shout! Factory for finally getting around to getting this excellent 1970's cop TV Show completed on Region 1 DVD.

I hope that all 22 episodes from Season Four have been presented in uncut form on this 6-DVD set.

If it turns out that all 22 episodes from Season Four have been presented in uncut form on this 6-DVD set,
then I would give this 6-DVD set a 5-star rating on Amazon for sure.

I have posted 53 reviews on Amazon.
I always absolutely hate it whenever any syndicated episodes of any television series make it onto DVD releases and
I also always absolutely hate it whenever any episodes of any television series make it onto DVD with any dialogue
or scenes missing from the episodes.

I really do think that the Police Woman episode from Season One titled "Flowers of Evil" is missing a scene
or some scenes on the out of print Sony 5-DVD set of Season One.

"Flowers of Evil" has a DVD running time of just 47:52.
The other episodes on that Sony 5-DVD set all have running times anywhere from 49:19 to 50:45.
Season One of Police Woman originally aired on NBC from September 13, 1974 until March 14, 1975.

Up until now, "Flowers of Evil" is the only episode of Police Woman that I know of that is actually presented in
incomplete form on Region 1 DVD.

I'm sure that seasons two and three of Police Woman are both presented entirely in uncut form on Region 1 DVD.

On Amazon, I have posted the exact DVD running times for every episode of Baa Baa Black Sheep also known as
Black Sheep Squadron, Columbo, Decoy, Hart to Hart, Kojak, Simon & Simon and the original 1970's
S.W.A.T. television series.

On Amazon, I have also posted the exact DVD running times for every episode from the first four seasons of
Charlie's Angels and the first two seasons of The Rookies.

I'm interested in how you arrived at this conclusion. Was it based on running time? Have you seen a longer version? It's been some time since I watched the season one DVD of Police Woman, but I don't recall any early fade-outs or abrupt edits.

I got my set today and thought I would share some info. First off, I am a little disappointed by the video quality. While S3 was stellar, these episodes don’t appear to have been remastered. A few are higher quality than others (The Human Rights of Tiki Kim, Sons) but the rest are a come-down from S3. Too bad since I think this is the better season of the two. Guns looks especially murky.

Run times are all 49 minutes and change, with most being around 49:40 give or take a few seconds either way. The Young and the Fair runs 48:40 and is the shortest. All others are at least 49:30.

And for those who will ask, the CPT Sunburst logo only appears on ONE episode: Sixth Sense. All others have the 1990s Torch Lady logo followed by the 2000s Sony logo.

At least this series is finally complete and I can toss my Me-TV recordings for good now. And Angie still looked spectacular four years in!

Why does only that one episode have the Sunburst/AT (granted, better than none of them at all, but still...)?
