Periodic Flashing on Sony HDTV (1 Viewer)

I have a Sony KV-32HS20. It's a year old. In the last week, I have noticed a flash occuring periodically (like once every few days then twice in 5 minutes). A horizontal green bar about one inch wide appears once for a split second on the screen. Each occurence is at different positions and it is accompanied by a electrical discharge-type click.

Any ideas? Is my tube about to go pear-shaped?

Anyone?

I have scheduled a technician to come out. Call out and fixed-price rapair charges are not surprisingly sky-high. Luckily the tube has a two year warranty. Frankly, the best that could happen is a replacement tube - I think the net cost to me is the lowest.
