Hi all.I have question regarding the panny sa-he100.I've read many posts and reviews that state the HE100 has a simulated DD-EX decoder, but on the Panasonic website they clearly state the unit has a DD-EX built in decoder. Here is the site.
    http://www.panasonic.ca/English/audi...re/sahe100.htm

So why is there conflicting reports on this aspect of the reciever?

The conflict was over DTS:ES not DD-EX.

    Brad,

when the SAHE100 was first released, Panasonic did not have DD-EX certification on the front panel or in the manual. They did, however, include a card in the packaging that listed DD-EX among the feature set. A Panasonic rep told me that, although they had the DD-EX certification, it had not come through in time for the initial preparation of the unit.

This is apparantly the cause for the confusion that still persists.
