I have recently noticed that sometimes the sound will drop in level when I am using my DVD player. It just started to do this a few days ago. I changed the digital optical cable cable, plugged it into a different spot on the receiver and checked my speaker cables. My Xbox which is also using a digital optical cable does not give me any audio problems that I have noticed yet. Has anybody ever experienced this problem before with this dvd player?

Never mind. I found out that it is my receiver center channel input. I have recut the wire and plugged it in but it still will not work properly. Can the center input be fixed or do I need to buy a new receiver? It is a Sony STR-DE545.
